The new AS 1000 Ovis EVO RC differs from the basic model in that it has a remote-controlled, electric cutting height adjustment with display, a remote-controlled, electromechanical blade clutch and a quick-release function for the hydrostats and brake.

The primary objective in the development of the AS 1000 Ovis RC was technical simplicity right from the start. Too many electrical components in a machine, such as electric throttle, electric choke, oil level sensors, EFI injection and CAN bus systems, create complexity that should be consistently avoided. After two years of practical experience, we can now add further essential RC functions. However, we will continue to do without electrical gimmicks for AS engines.

The enormous power of the Vanguard Professional 2-cylinder engine is transmitted directly to the cutterhead via a belt drive without any loss of power. The torque is divided between the two robust belts.
The AS 1000 Ovis RC has the proven advantages of the tried-and-tested flail mower: maximum mowing speed, excellent cutting pattern and even grass placement.
The low operating weight (only 419 kg) and compact dimensions (184 cm / 115 cm / 69 cm) allow mowing under low obstacles and on steep slopes.
The low-slung Vanguard Professional engine and the lowest overall height of just 69 cm - the prerequisites for the perfect centre of gravity and extreme slope capability.
Clear operating elements and accurate controls are the basis for precise manoeuvring of the machine. Robust hydraulic motors with their enormous torque ensure a precise and powerful drive.

Remote-controlled cutting height adjustment
The cutting height of the AS 1000 Ovis EVO RC can be adjusted in the range of 40-110 mm by remote control.
Electric actuators
Two electric actuators move the cutting deck to the desired cutting height. The mowing deck is still mounted on a pivoting bearing and can move upwards.
Mechanical cutting height adjustment
Simple and robust. The set cutting height can be read off in five stages via a scale on the device. Transport position is reached via hand spindle.
Bypass for brakes and hydrostats
The hydrostats can be released and the brake opened via two easy-to-reach slides. This makes freeing and towing the machine considerably easier.
Remote-controlled blade clutch
An electric actuator switches the blade clutch. The advantage is that the very robust, mechanical blade clutch of the standard Ovis is retained.
Intuitive control with simple remote control
The remote control only differs from the standard Ovis in that it has three additional buttons/toggle switches. Controlling the machine is as simple as ever.
Quick release chain
The quick-release tensioners of the drive chains can be tightened and loosened using the extension supplied as standard and an additional ratchet. This is done from the rear of the machine. The chain tensioners are easily accessible. The spring must be pre-tensioned to a length of approx. 12.5 cm.
Cooling air shaft
The hinged perforated plate cover acts as a pre-filter for the engine cooling air. It can be opened in seconds to clean the intake shaft. This is particularly necessary in dry and dusty working conditions.
Simple wiring harness
The Ovis was designed from the outset with electrical simplicity in mind. Its wiring harness has been reduced to a minimum, enabling any specialist dealer to carry out troubleshooting and repairs quickly and easily. Complex electronic systems have been expressly omitted.
Hydro wheel motors
The two hydrostats of the Ovis are designed for professional use. With a maintenance interval of 400 hours (first oil change after 50 hours), they significantly reduce maintenance costs. The maximum torque of the hydro wheel motors is 474 Newton metres.
